What does a battery code mean?

Battery codes combine letters and numbers representing chemistry, dimensions, and performance. The first letter (s) denote chemistry (e.g., "L" for alkaline, "CR" for lithium). Numbers often indicate size: the first two digits represent diameter in millimeters, followed by height in tenths of a millimeter.
