Will Qatar's new solar power project double its solar capacity?

PVTIME – QatarEnergy, the Qatari state-owned petroleum giant, has recently announced plans to develop solar power projects with a total capacity of 2GW in the Dukhan area, approximately 80km west of Doha. The new 2GW facility will more than double Qatar’s installed PV capacity by 2030, increasing its PV solar capacity to approximately 4GW.
