Do supercapacitors self-discharge?

Supercapacitors are promising electrochemical energy storage systems but restricted by severe self-discharge issues. Their attributes make them attractive for uses in which frequent small charges/discharges are required (e.g., ensuring power quality or providing frequency regulation).
